01. Who We Are
Modeller Technologies Ltd ("Modeller", "we", "us") operates the machine learning automation platform available at modeller.tech. We help businesses build, validate, and deploy ML models without writing a single line of code.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our platform. We are committed to full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable EU privacy law.
02. Data We Collect
- Account information
- Your email address and password (hashed) when you register.
- Uploaded datasets
- CSV, Excel, or other tabular files you upload to run ML workflows. These are processed exclusively to build your model.
- Usage data
- Anonymised logs of platform interactions (page views, workflow runs) used to improve the product.
- API keys
- Tokens you generate to call your deployed model endpoint.
03. How We Use Your Data
- Model training
- Your uploaded data is used solely to build the ML model you requested.
- Service operation
- Account data is used to authenticate you and deliver results.
- Product improvement
- Aggregated, anonymised usage metrics help us improve features.
- Communications
- We may send transactional emails (e.g., workflow completion). Marketing emails only with your explicit consent.
04. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored exclusively on Hetzner Object Storage (FSN1, Nuremberg, Germany) — within the European Union. We never transfer your data outside the EU.
Uploaded datasets are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access is restricted to automated processing pipelines; no Modeller employee reads your raw data.
Datasets are automatically deleted 30 days after your project completes, or immediately upon your request. Account data is retained until you delete your account.
05. Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Period.
We use a limited set of subprocessors strictly necessary to deliver the service (e.g., transactional email delivery). All subprocessors are GDPR-compliant and operate under data processing agreements.
06. Your Rights (GDPR)
- Access
- Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Portability
- Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Restriction
- Request that we restrict processing in certain circumstances.

07. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is shown because we do not require your consent for essential cookies.
08. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of Modeller after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
